Description/Notes: The candidate must guarantee effectiveness of the school office in compliance with district goals and provide clerical services for the administrative staff, including, but not limited to school finance, cash, and budget accounts.

Major Responsibilities and Duties
• Greet visitors and staff with professionalism and courtesy
• Assist students, teachers, administrators and staff as needed
• Work directly with Attendance Clerk on student absences
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and community members
• Secure substitutes for teacher/staff absences, and maintain records for payroll
• Receive incoming calls, answer questions, and take messages, ensuring party has received messages
• Maintain calendar for the principal and staff
• Maintain and assist with operation of office machines as needed
• Order supplies as needed
• Prepare and edit correspondence for campus staff
• Maintain general office files
• Maintain recordkeeping procedures for campus
• Maintain a high punctual attendance rate
• Maintain integrity, commitment, respect, dedication and passion for student-centered environment
• Maintain composure under stressful situations and work with frequent deadlines/interruptions

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in general office management and procedures
• Proofreading skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficiency with email systems (Google Mail and Google Drive)
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess a high level of integrity regarding student records and campus issues
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask with frequent interruptions
• Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be self-motivated and willing to work collaboratively
 
Qualifications: • High school diploma or accredited GED equivalent
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check (non-refundable paid for by candidate)
• Two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience
• College coursework in business or office support courses (preferred)
