I grew up in rural South Texas before attending SFASU. My husband and I were married in 1980 while still attending college. We came to the Hill Country area in 1996. My husband was principal of Bandera High School for eleven years before becoming assistant superintendent at Medina Valley ISD. We have two, adult daughters. They are graduates of Bandera ISD and both work overseas. We do not have any grandchildren yet, but have a border collie, “Happy”, who helps us wait until grandchildren arrive.
I love to play piano/keyboard and take long walks in the hills. I have a passion for basketball, talking to kids, and spending time in prayer. My daughters enlarge my view in sharing time with us in Bangladesh, Thailand, and Qatar. I have a homeplace near Karnes City to which I continually resort to anchor me.
